Makes Me Laugh or Smile| Road going to Tuburan, Cebu

Photograph taken on: January 2012
"Habal-Habal ng Tuburan"
Habal-habal is a common mode of transportation  in any part of Cebu especially in mountainous Barangays wherein roads are not accessible by 4 wheels public utility vehicles .  It is also called as Skylab in some places particularly in Mindanao. This photograph was taken while I am on travel going to Tuburan (Cebu) for my weekly Unit Monitoring. I was amazed how the driver manage to balance the passengers seated on both sides (left and right extension wood) plus the additional weight of the other one at his back.

"UNA" - car made from coconut flower's stalk
Taken while I am roaming around SM City Cebu. This photograph was featured in Discovery Channel's Website and was also used by other bloggers on their post unfortunately some didn't ask for my permission.
"UNA"  is the first car in the world manufactured using indigenous materials exclusive to Cebu patterned from the 1959 Porche 356. Designed and manufactured by Clayton Tugonon, the exterior is purely made from coconut flower's stalk and rattan stripes. The dashboard comes from a blend of two-toned shells while the steering wheels and the knob are made from Shagreen. It was one of the highlights @ the 2011 famous exhibit in Manila to showcase what Cebu can do.- NORTHWING SM City Cebu
