"kapag tinanong ako ng anak ko kung saan ang Siargao madali kong masasagot dahil napuntahan ko..." -travelingmorion
This PhotoTravel Diary features photographs taken during my first visit to the most famous town of Siargao Island.
General Luna is the municipality next to
Dapa (going east). From
DapaPort travel may take 30-45 minutes (Habal-habal ride). Accommodations, from cheap to first class, are available and easy to find- don't hesitate to ask the locals.
The town was tagged as the surfing capital of the Philippines as it is famous for huge waves called “cloud 9”. Upon reaching the town proper I've noticed that the ground is literally fine-white sands.
"Kahit yung paligid ng munisipyo nila at mga inner roads ay hindi na sinemento as in puting-pinong buhangin, sarap tumapak!"
We have limited time to explore the whole town since we're doing area mapping and courtesy call, hanggang tanaw na lang muna ako sa Guyam atNakedIsland na nakaharap sa amin. I've said, "babalikan natin to' sa Saturday at Sunday:) Dunno exactly what is/are in the said Islands but I'm pretty sure that beaches' sands are powdery white!
After 10-15 minutes of stop-over at the baywalk area of the town proper, we immediately headed to the beach area they called "Cloud 9". "Dito ako na-excite, ito na yung surfing na tinatawag!"
