Tagged as the “Festival of Festivals" or “Festival of Champions”, Aliwan Fiesta is an annual gathering of the grandest and most colorful festivals in the Philippines.
Today, April 26, 2014, I was lucky enough to witness this grandest gathering of the most colorful festivals of the country. The usual street of Pasay and Manila became vibrant and alive; this is indeed the hottest gathering of the festivals across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao!
This 3-day event, organized by Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC), in partnership with the Cities of Manila and Pasay and the Cultural Center of the Philippines, happened this year from April 24-26, 2014.
The main event is the Grand Parade and street dancing competition from Quirino Grandstand passing through Roxas Boulevard, going to showdown area in front of Aliw Theater at the CCP Complex, Manila.
