Is Pineapple plant with multi-headed fruit common? Or it's just my first time to see this kind of Pineapple? These Photos were taken in Bo. Quezon, Del Carmen Siargao Islands on June 14, 2012. I've posted it in my facebook wall and got comments like this one "Hawaian ba yan?". I asked the variety of the said pineapple to the owner but she denied propagating any other variety "common or local variety man dong ang gitanum nako", and doesn't know why her two pineapple plants come-up with multi-headed fruits.
