The BenCabMuseumis quickly becoming one of the must-visit attractions of Tuba Benguet, with a wide range of interesting works of art for visitors to admire. Although the museum complex is the main attraction in the property, visitors can also enjoy great spots such as the man-made pond with a gazebo in the middle.

Bencab Museum

BenCab Museum is one of the most interesting spots in Benguet. It is a four-storey-building that houses the works of the National Artist for Visual Arts, Mr. Benedicto Reyes Cabrera better known as "BenCab".

Occupying several hectares of land, the museum is tucked in lush landscape, with plenty of trees and plants that soothe the eyes and provide a pleasant backdrop for the contemporary building. More adventurous visitors can also take the eco-trail hike to better admire the scenery and enjoy Benguet’s cool mountain air.

Eye-catching Art at the Museum's Entrance Area

As the main feature of the tourist destination, the museum is truly a marvel to explore. The expansive lobby at the first floor welcomes you to the museum, already offering visitors a glimpse of what to expect on the succeeding floors. Some art works are already featured on the first level.

The Main Feature of Level 1  is the 32  variations of Sabel (2008) glaze on Mariwasa Tiles 239x239 cms.

It is on the second level that visitors get to admire the genius works of Ben Cabrera. Of course, like many artists, many of his works are owned by patrons or exhibited in other museums; thus, the collection is just small compared to what one would expect from a national artist to make during his lifetime.

A part of the second level is also set for BenCab’s bulol collection, Cordillera collection, and the indigo gallery featuring various renowned artists. Tucked at a far corner is the erotica gallery. Just as its name implies, the gallery features several art work celebrating sex; thus, an advisory is posted by the door, informing readers that the gallery contains various imagery which could be offensive to minors and certain individuals.
